Safeguarding

New Cangle sets great importance in ensuring pupils feel safe and are able to talk to an adult if they have a concern.  If you have any concerns about a child, please contact the school and ask to speak to the Designated Safeguarding Lead. Alternatively, any person can report a concern to the Suffolk Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub at the following address:

The Designated Safeguarding Lead is: Jacqueline Brading.

The Deputy Designated Safeguarding personnel are Sarah Pector or Liz Berry. 

During school closure (for example during the school holidays) safeguarding enquires or concerns should be made to: ht@newcangle.co.uk

When staff appointments are made the safer recruitment process is followed.  Disclosure and Barring checks are made on all adults who work in school, paid or voluntary.

All new staff and volunteers receive safeguarding training and existing staff receive frequent updates.
