Learning Support Assistant
Grade 3 pt 4 – 9 range
£24,404 – 27,269 pro rata depending on experience
Permanent appointment from September 25
Part-time - 30.75 hours per week for 39 weeks per year
We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident Learning Support Assistant to work within our friendly and fun primary school. The school itself has established a strong reputation within the local community, with its recent Ofsted inspection rated the school as ‘Good’.
We are looking to appoint someone who is able to motivate groups of pupils and work closely with the class teacher to support all learners. You will need good literacy and numeracy skills.
You will need to:
- Have a passion for education and a desire to progress learning and skills
- Be enthusiastic and confident
- Be someone with a commitment to our school's core values and a focus on the pupils
- Be able to keep records and paperwork up to date
- Be an excellent team player who can also use their own initiative to work independently
- Be able to demonstrate high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
- Be flexible and able to adjust to the needs of the learners, class or school
Ideally you will also have the following desirable, but not essential, qualities that we are looking for:
- previous experience working within a school setting
- a Level 3 qualification in Education/Childcare or equivalent
- practical experience in working with SEND pupils 1:1
This post also includes 5 hours of Mid-day Supervisor Hours.
